Geochemical Exploration

Geochemical exploration surveys range from heavy mineral concentrates to partial-leach soil surveys to lithogeochemistry. Survey design is the most important step especially in selecting sample spacing and analytical procedures. ASL has experience with a wide range of survey types, in glacial to lateritic terrain, and can assist in developing appropriate protocols. ASL specializes in partial leach technology, built on its experience managing the $600,000 CAMIRO project that evaluated a variety of techniques.

Most laboratories now provide multi-element packages with a distracting amount of elements. ASL can efficiently process the data to maximize the value of the information and uses a range of statistical methods that vector to mineralization

Survey Design
  • design of exploration geochemical programs
  • orientation surveys to determine optimum sampling methods and analytical procedures
Interpretation + Targeting
  • interpretation of geochemical surveys
  • identification of anomalies
  • effective use of large multi-element data sets with the use of advanced statistical methods
  • fast, efficient review of multivariate data
  • integration of geochemical targets with geology and geophysics
  • in-house short courses and workshops
